Custom Restaurant & Bar Website Design & Development
Product-Specific Terms & Service Agreement
This Service Agreement applies to the Custom Restaurant & Bar Website Design & Development service provided by WIX SOLUTIONS.
This service is provided on a business-to-business basis only and is intended for restaurants, bars, hospitality businesses, restaurant groups, food and beverage businesses, private dining venues and similar commercial organisations.
By purchasing this service, the Client confirms that:
they are purchasing for business or professional purposes;
they have authority to enter into this Agreement;
the information supplied to WIX SOLUTIONS is accurate to the best of their knowledge;
they accept these Product-Specific Terms together with the applicable WIX SOLUTIONS general terms;
they understand the project scope, working-time allocation, page limits and project duration described below.
1. PROJECT PRICE
Project Price: £7,995, unless another price is displayed on the relevant product page at the time of purchase or agreed in writing by WIX SOLUTIONS.
Full payment is required in advance before development begins unless a different payment arrangement has been expressly agreed in writing.
The project price is a fixed commercial price for the service described in this Agreement.
The project also includes a reserved professional working-time allocation of:
Up to 200 professional working hours
The 200-hour allocation represents the maximum professional time available for the project within the agreed project price.
2. COMMERCIAL BASIS OF THE 200-HOUR PROJECT
This is a highly customised service and the Client is purchasing a substantial professional project allocation rather than a simple pre-defined website template.
The project includes up to 200 professional working hours.
These hours may be used for all reasonable work required to deliver the project, including:
Client meetings
Video meetings
Telephone discussions
Email communication
Research
Project planning
Website architecture
Sitemap planning
UX planning
Customer journey planning
Design concepts
Visual design
Website development
Responsive development
Desktop optimisation
Tablet optimisation
Mobile optimisation
Content implementation
Menu implementation
Image implementation
Video implementation
PDF implementation
SEO
Technical SEO
Local SEO
Integrations
Reservation-system integration
Testing
Revisions
Project management
Client-team coordination
Launch preparation
Other agreed website-development work
Time spent on meetings, communication, planning and project management forms part of the 200-hour allocation in the same way as design and development work.
The Client therefore understands that the 200-hour allocation is not limited only to time physically spent editing website pages.
3. GUARANTEED CORE WEBSITE SCOPE
The principal guaranteed deliverable of this service is the design and development of a customised restaurant and bar website containing:
Up to 18 website pages
The core project is structured so that WIX SOLUTIONS will prioritise completion of the agreed website of up to 18 pages before using remaining project time for optional additional work.
The exact page structure will be determined during the planning stage.
Possible pages may include:
Home
About
Our Story
Restaurant
Menu
Tapas
Paella
Lunch
Dinner
Brunch
Bar
Wine
Cocktails
Private Dining
Events
Catering
Gallery
What's On
Promotions
News
Journal
Careers
FAQ
Plan Your Visit
Location
Reservations
Contact
Seasonal Menus
Other agreed restaurant-related pages
The above list is illustrative only.
The Client is not purchasing a fixed 18-page template.
The final sitemap will be individually designed around the specific restaurant, bar, brand, customer journey and business requirements.
4. ADDITIONAL PAGES – PAGES 19 TO 30
The website may potentially be expanded to:
A maximum of 30 pages overall
However, pages beyond the guaranteed core website are subject to the amount of professional working time remaining within the 200-hour allocation.
Pages 19–30 are therefore not automatically guaranteed.
If sufficient project time remains after completion of the core requirements, the Client may request that remaining hours are used to create additional pages.
Examples may include:
Additional menu pages
Seasonal pages
Event landing pages
Promotional pages
Private dining pages
Catering pages
Additional gallery pages
News pages
Campaign pages
Location pages
Additional restaurant-information pages
Other agreed website pages
Each additional page may vary substantially in complexity.
A simple content page may require considerably less time than a highly customised page containing complex design, animations, forms, dynamic content, integrations or bespoke functionality.
WIX SOLUTIONS may therefore assess the estimated work required before agreeing to include an additional page.
The total website created under this service cannot exceed 30 website pages without a separate written agreement.
5. FLEXIBLE USE OF REMAINING HOURS
Once the guaranteed core requirements have been sufficiently completed, any remaining time within the 200-hour project allocation may be used flexibly.
The Client may request that remaining time is used for:
Pages 19–30
Additional design work
Additional content implementation
Additional menu work
Additional meetings
Additional consultations
Additional SEO
Additional local SEO
Additional forms
Additional integrations
Additional galleries
Additional event functionality
Additional promotional sections
Additional responsive optimisation
Additional testing
Additional design refinements
Other agreed website-related work
The Client does not need to specify every optional task before the project begins.
This flexibility is an important part of the service.
However, additional requests are subject to:
sufficient remaining project hours;
technical feasibility;
compatibility with the website and platform;
WIX SOLUTIONS agreeing that the request can reasonably be completed within the remaining project allocation.
6. CORE WORK TAKES PRIORITY
The Client acknowledges that the first priority of the 200-hour allocation is completion of the agreed core project.
This includes the principal website, essential design, development, responsive optimisation, agreed content implementation, SEO foundation, testing and other work reasonably required to deliver the core website.
Optional work will not take priority where doing so could prevent completion of the principal agreed website.
WIX SOLUTIONS may therefore postpone optional requests until the core website has reached an appropriate stage of completion.
7. WORKING HOURS ARE A PROJECT ALLOCATION
The 200-hour figure is a maximum professional working-time allocation.
It does not mean that WIX SOLUTIONS is required to artificially continue working until exactly 200 hours have been recorded if the agreed project has been completed satisfactorily.
If the principal project can be completed efficiently in less time, remaining time may be offered for reasonable additional requests during the active project period.
Unused time has no separate cash value and is not automatically refundable.
Unused project hours cannot be exchanged for money.
Unused hours are not transferable to another business, person or unrelated project unless expressly agreed in writing.
8. PROJECT DURATION
The standard project-development period is:
Up to 90 working days
Working days normally mean Monday to Friday and exclude:
Saturdays
Sundays
UK public holidays
periods where the project is reasonably paused while waiting for essential Client information, materials, approvals or access.
The 90-working-day period is a project timetable.
The 200-hour figure is the professional working-time allocation.
These are two separate measurements.
A project may therefore run across 90 working days while professional work is performed at different stages within that period.
9. PROJECT START
The project will normally begin following:
cleared payment;
acceptance of the applicable terms;
receipt of sufficient initial information;
receipt of required account access where applicable;
completion of reasonable project onboarding requirements.
Project commencement means the beginning of planning, research, meetings, architecture, design or development.
It does not mean that the completed website will be delivered immediately after payment.
10. CLIENT DELAYS
The project timetable depends on reasonable cooperation from the Client.
The Client must provide requested information, decisions, approvals, content, photographs, menus, videos and account access within reasonable timeframes.
Where WIX SOLUTIONS cannot continue because required information or approval has not been provided, the project timetable may be paused.
Client delays may therefore extend the expected completion date beyond the original 90-working-day timetable.
Time spent repeatedly chasing missing information, dealing with contradictory instructions or reorganising work because of Client-created delays may form part of the 200-hour project allocation.
11. CUSTOM WEBSITE DESIGN
This is a custom website design and development service.
WIX SOLUTIONS is not required to use a standard restaurant template.
The website may be designed specifically around:
the Client's brand;
cuisine;
food;
drinks;
restaurant atmosphere;
interior;
location;
target market;
photography;
videography;
marketing strategy;
private dining;
events;
catering;
reservation requirements;
future business plans.
The website may use different layouts across different sections while maintaining a consistent overall visual identity.
12. DESIGN REFERENCES
The Client may provide websites, designs, brands or other materials as inspiration.
Such references are used to understand:
visual preferences;
quality expectations;
page structure;
user experience;
functionality;
design direction.
WIX SOLUTIONS will not intentionally copy another website in a manner that infringes intellectual-property rights.
The final website will be developed as an individual project.
13. CLIENT MEETINGS
This service includes substantially more Client communication than a standard website package.
Regular online meetings may take place throughout the project.
Meetings may cover:
Project planning
Design direction
Branding
Sitemap
Website structure
Restaurant menus
Photography
Video
Content
SEO
Reservations
Private dining
Events
Integrations
Progress
Revisions
Launch preparation
Meeting time forms part of the project's 200-hour professional working allocation.
There is therefore no separate unlimited-meeting allowance.
Where meetings become unusually frequent or lengthy, this will naturally reduce the number of hours remaining for optional additional development.
14. WORKING WITH THE CLIENT'S TEAM
The Client may involve its own employees, consultants or professional advisers in the project.
WIX SOLUTIONS may collaborate with authorised:
Restaurant owners
Directors
Restaurant managers
Marketing teams
Marketing consultants
Branding agencies
Designers
Photographers
Videographers
Copywriters
PR professionals
Menu designers
SEO professionals
Business consultants
Other authorised contributors
Communication and coordination with those parties forms part of the 200-hour project allocation.
15. PRINCIPAL CLIENT CONTACT
Where several Client representatives are involved, WIX SOLUTIONS may request that the Client nominates one principal project contact.
The principal contact may be responsible for:
consolidating feedback;
confirming decisions;
approving designs;
resolving conflicting instructions;
communicating final approval.
WIX SOLUTIONS is not responsible for project delays caused by conflicting instructions from different Client representatives.
16. CLIENT-SUPPLIED CONTENT
The Client is responsible for supplying accurate business-specific information where required.
This may include:

Private dining information
Event information
Catering information

Social-media information
The Client confirms that they have permission to provide and publish all supplied materials.
17. CONTENT WRITING & CONTENT IMPROVEMENT
Where appropriate, WIX SOLUTIONS may:
improve supplied text;
restructure content;
improve headings;
improve calls-to-action;
organise website information;
rewrite sections for clarity;
improve SEO structure;
improve internal linking;
suggest additional content.
Content-development work uses time from the 200-hour project allocation.
The Client remains responsible for checking and approving all factual information before publication.
18. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACCURACY
The Client remains responsible for confirming the accuracy of:
Menu items
Food ingredients
Prices
Allergens
Opening hours
Promotions
Event information
Business information
Contact information
Staff information
Restaurant claims
Awards

Menu content may be presented as:
Website content

Speciality dishes
Desserts
Lunch
Dinner
Brunch
Children's menus
Wine
Cocktails
Spirits
Drinks
Happy Hour
Seasonal menus
Private dining menus
Catering menus
Event menus
The exact menu structure depends on the Client's business and supplied information.
20. PDF DOCUMENTS
The project may include integration of up to:
30 Client-supplied PDF documents
These may include:
Food menus
Drinks menus
Wine lists
Cocktail menus
Event packages
Private dining menus
Catering menus
Seasonal menus

The allowance relates to uploading, organising and connecting finished documents.
Creating or redesigning the PDF documents themselves is not automatically included.
PDF design may be completed using remaining project hours if expressly agreed and sufficient time remains, or may be quoted separately.
21. RESPONSIVE DEVELOPMENT
The website will be developed with reasonable optimisation for:
Desktop
Laptop
Tablet
Mobile
Responsive development may include adjustment of:
Typography
Spacing
Navigation
Images
Menus
Forms

Different devices, operating systems and browsers may display websites slightly differently.
WIX SOLUTIONS does not guarantee identical pixel-for-pixel rendering on every possible device or browser.
22. SEO
The service includes an initial SEO foundation.
Depending on the website and available project time, this may include:
SEO-friendly website structure
Keyword research
Keyword mapping
Local SEO structure

WIX SOLUTIONS does not guarantee:

commercial results.
Search-engine rankings are controlled by third parties and can change at any time.

These may include:
OpenTable subscription fees
Per-cover fees
Booking fees
Transaction fees
Payment-processing fees
Premium app subscriptions
External software subscriptions
Third-party platform charges
The Client contracts directly with the relevant third-party provider for such services.
26. CUSTOM API DEVELOPMENT
Standard integrations may be included where reasonably possible.
Highly customised API development, bespoke software systems or custom restaurant platforms are not automatically included.
Such work may:
use remaining project hours if specifically agreed and technically reasonable; or
require a separate quotation.
27. FIRST-YEAR WEBSITE PLAN & HOSTING
Where stated on the product page, the required website plan and hosting for the first year are included within the project price.
WIX SOLUTIONS may purchase or arrange the applicable website plan using part of the project payment.
From the second year onward, renewal becomes the Client's responsibility.
Future subscription prices are set by the applicable platform and are outside the control of WIX SOLUTIONS.
28. DOMAIN
Unless expressly stated otherwise, domain registration and renewal fees are separate from the project price.
WIX SOLUTIONS may assist with:

30. COOKIE CONSENT
Where stated on the product page, the project may include installation of the WIX SOLUTIONS Cookie Widget under the applicable service terms.
The widget is intended to provide a professional cookie-consent interface.
WIX SOLUTIONS does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee that installation of any cookie tool alone makes a Client's business compliant with every privacy or data-protection law worldwide.
The Client remains responsible for obtaining appropriate legal advice where required.
31. ACCESSIBILITY
The website will be created with reasonable accessibility considerations.
This may include:
readable structure;
sensible heading hierarchy;
image alt text where appropriate;
reasonable contrast considerations;
responsive navigation;
accessible content structure where reasonably possible.
WIX SOLUTIONS does not provide formal legal accessibility certification unless expressly contracted to do so.
32. REVISIONS
The project includes:
Up to 6 formal rounds of reasonable minor corrections
A correction round means a consolidated set of reasonable changes submitted after review.
Corrections may include:
Text corrections
Image replacements
Small spacing adjustments
Minor colour changes
Button changes
Link changes
Menu corrections
Contact-information corrections
Reasonable minor layout refinements
The six correction rounds do not include six complete website redesigns.
33. DEVELOPMENT FEEDBACK
Because this is a collaborative project, feedback may also be discussed throughout development.
However, repeated major changes, changing an already approved direction, or repeatedly reversing previous decisions may consume significant project hours.
Where Client changes consume a substantial part of the remaining 200-hour allocation, WIX SOLUTIONS is not responsible if fewer optional additional features or pages can subsequently be completed.
34. MAJOR SCOPE CHANGES
The following may be treated as major scope changes:
Completely new design direction after approval
Major restructuring of the website
Replacement of large amounts of previously approved content

stock images;
stock graphics;
AI-generated imagery;
design assets;

where appropriate.
Such content will not knowingly be presented as genuine Client staff, premises, food, completed restaurant dishes or business achievements where doing so would be materially misleading.
The Client may request replacement with supplied authentic imagery where suitable materials are available.
38. THIRD-PARTY MATERIALS
Where Client-supplied photography, video, logos, fonts, music, graphics or other materials are used, the Client confirms that they have the necessary rights or permissions.
The Client agrees not to instruct WIX SOLUTIONS to knowingly infringe copyright, trademark or other intellectual-property rights.

WIX SOLUTIONS is not responsible for future functionality problems caused exclusively by:
platform updates;
third-party changes;
app-provider changes;
browser changes;
external API changes;
discontinued services;
changes made outside WIX SOLUTIONS' control.
Future work required because of such changes may be charged separately.
41. ONE-MONTH WORKMANSHIP GUARANTEE
Following project completion and launch, WIX SOLUTIONS provides:
1 month post-project workmanship guarantee
This guarantee applies to implementation completed by WIX SOLUTIONS within the agreed scope.
If an element implemented by WIX SOLUTIONS does not operate in the way it was agreed to operate, WIX SOLUTIONS will reasonably investigate and correct that implementation without an additional development charge during the guarantee period.
42. GUARANTEE EXCLUSIONS
The workmanship guarantee does not include:
New pages
New functionality
New design requests
New content
New integrations
Client modifications
Changes made by another designer or developer
Third-party service failures
External provider changes
Platform changes outside WIX SOLUTIONS' control
New SEO requests
New business requirements
The guarantee is not an extension of the 200-hour development allocation.
43. CANCELLATION AFTER PROJECT COMMENCEMENT
Once Client-specific work has begun, payment is generally non-refundable where the Client:
changes their mind;
cancels the project;
chooses another provider;
decides not to open the business;
stops responding;
fails to provide required material;
otherwise abandons the project,
subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
This is because professional project capacity is reserved and significant Client-specific work may already have been performed.
44. PROJECT INACTIVITY
If the Client stops responding or fails to provide information for an extended period, WIX SOLUTIONS may place the project on hold.
If inactivity continues for an unreasonable period, WIX SOLUTIONS may close the active production stage after providing reasonable notice.
Reactivation after a lengthy delay may be subject to:
staff availability;
updated scheduling;
technical changes;
additional charges where substantial rework has become necessary.
45. OWNERSHIP TRANSFER
Once:
the agreed project is completed;
all agreed payments have been made;
applicable project conditions have been satisfied,
ownership of the completed website may be transferred to the Client's account.
The standard website ownership transfer is included without an additional transfer fee.
46. DESIGNER CREDIT
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the website may retain a visible footer credit:
Website Design by WIX SOLUTIONS
with a working link to the WIX SOLUTIONS website.
Removal of the designer credit requires separate written agreement and may be subject to an additional fee where applicable under the relevant service terms.
47. PORTFOLIO RIGHTS
By purchasing this service, the Client agrees that WIX SOLUTIONS may display the completed public website for legitimate promotional purposes.
This may include:
Portfolio
Case studies
Social media
Marketing materials
Screenshots
Website-design examples
Public business name
Publicly available website content
WIX SOLUTIONS will not intentionally publish confidential Client information that is not already public.
48. HANDOVER
Following completion, WIX SOLUTIONS may:
transfer website ownership;
provide appropriate handover information;
retain collaborator access where authorised;
provide further support under a separate service arrangement.
The Client becomes responsible for maintaining its own platform account, subscriptions and credentials after transfer.
49. CHANGES AFTER HANDOVER
After handover, WIX SOLUTIONS is not responsible for problems caused by changes made by:
the Client;
Client employees;
another designer;
another developer;
another agency;
an external consultant;
a third-party application;
a third-party service.
Any repair work required after such changes may be quoted separately.
50. NO GUARANTEE OF BUSINESS RESULTS
The website is intended to provide a professional digital platform.
WIX SOLUTIONS does not guarantee:
restaurant bookings;
event enquiries;
private dining enquiries;
sales;
revenue;
profitability;
customer numbers;
publicity;
media coverage;
specific search rankings;
specific website traffic;
particular commercial outcomes.
Business performance depends on numerous factors outside WIX SOLUTIONS' control.
51. LIMITATION OF THIRD-PARTY RESPONSIBILITY
WIX SOLUTIONS is not responsible for the commercial terms, performance or continued availability of third-party providers.
This includes, without limitation:
website-platform providers;
payment processors;
reservation systems;
email providers;
analytics providers;
search engines;
domain registrars;
external applications.
52. CONFIDENTIALITY
WIX SOLUTIONS will take reasonable care with confidential information supplied for the purposes of the project.
The Client should clearly identify genuinely confidential information where necessary.
Information already publicly available, published by the Client or intended for publication on the website is not treated as confidential merely because it was supplied during the project.
53. PROJECT COMPLETION
The project may be treated as completed when:
the agreed core website has been delivered;
agreed testing has been completed;
agreed corrections have been implemented;
the website is ready for launch or handover;
any agreed additional work using remaining hours has been completed or declined;
the project has otherwise reached its agreed conclusion.
Unused hours do not prevent project completion where the agreed deliverables have been completed.
54. UNUSED REMAINING HOURS
Where the core project is completed before the full 200-hour allocation has been used, WIX SOLUTIONS may agree with the Client how reasonable remaining time can be used during the active project.
This may include additional pages or other agreed website work.
Remaining hours:
have no cash-refund value;
cannot be redeemed as money;
cannot automatically be carried into unrelated future projects;
cannot be transferred to another company or person without written agreement.
The purpose of the flexible remaining-hours system is to enhance the current restaurant and bar website project.
